KC Roadtrip!!!

I got my supercharger on my Xterra finished but I don’t like it. I don’t have the intake manifold that the supercharger used. I used the intake manifold for the Naturally Aspirated engine. In theory it works. I Just wasn’t comfortable with it.

Also there is a “supercharger solenoid valve” that is connected to the wire harness. My truck doesn’t have this either.

In KC, the Pick-n-pull listed a 2002 SC Xterra on the lot but no one at the junkyard would visually confirm it was still there. On faith, my youngest daughter, my dog and myself took a quick 24 hour Vanlife road trip.

It was a success! Not only did I get the parts I was missing, I scored 6 more injectors. This is cool because they only made the Super Charger injectors for the years the car was in production. There is no aftermarket replacement.

We slept at the Bass Pro Shop lot Friday night. Saturday I was finished with salvaging parts by 9:30 am. After that I got to say hi to an old friend.

On the way home we stopped by a park to eat and shopped at the Kleinschmidt’s western store.

We got home within 24 hours.

I really love road trips.
